Over the course of my four years living and going to school in Oberlin, Ohio, I collaborated across groups to build sustainable food systems and learn about systems of oppression. These projects included:

  1. Designing posters for dining halls

  2. Partnering with a local orchard to supply the ShuttleHome bus service

  3. Building a partnership between the college, a compost company and the six student-run cooperatives

  4. Teaching an extracurricular course on systems of oppression to connect students to local social justice organizations.

  5. Creating a poster and promotional material for the nine suppliers of the Oberlin Food Hub

  6. Securing $5,000 to purchase a bike for the food rescue program
